Kuching, 10 December 2023 – GWM Malaysia proudly announces the grand opening of its 4S service center in East Malaysia, solidifying its commitment to the region. In collaboration with dealer partner YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd, this advanced facility represents a significant expansion of GWM's dealer network to cater for all customers in the East Malaysia area, located at Jalan Mendu, Kuching, Sarawak.
YB Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier cum Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak, and H.E. Xing WeiPing, Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in Kuching co-hosted the grand opening ceremony of the first GWM 4S service center in East Malaysia. Their presence marked a significant milestone in GWM's journey to broaden its dealer network and drive the accelerated adoption of NEV in the region. Other esteemed VIP guests at the ceremony include Cui Anqi, Managing Director of GWM Malaysia, and Tan Kai, Chairman of Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
Cui Anqi, Managing Director of GWM Malaysia, expressed his sincere gratitude in his speech stating, "I extend my heartfelt thanks to YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd and all the VIPs for gracing us with their presence and witnessing this pivotal moment for GWM in East Malaysia. The Kuching showroom will serve as a crucial link between Great Wall Motor and Kuching, Sarawak, extending our reach to more consumers in East Malaysia, providing a wider range of product choices, and ensuring superior service."
Additionally, he outlined GWM's vision for the upcoming year stating, "Our channel network is steadily expanding from West Malaysia to East Malaysia, with each product launch carefully considered in response to market demand. This year in October, we solidified the cooperation plan for the CKD local assembly with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB). Next year, our product lineup will undergo accelerated expansion, introducing a succession of competitive models to meet the evolving needs of our Malaysian customers."
As the first 4S service center in East Malaysia, Kuching 4S service center offers sales, service, maintenance, and spare parts. Covering an expansive 1,700 sqm, the facility includes a spacious 550 sqm showroom tailored to accommodate a diverse range of GWM models. Customers in East Malaysia will now have opportunities to explore and experience GWM’s latest product and service offerings. The workshop, spanning 492sqm, features 10 working bays and 2 washing bays, ensuring efficient maintenance and timely services for customer peace of mind.
